Speed
Acceleration positions, running mechanics, and purposeful repetitions that reinforce efficient movement.
Structured, coach-led speed, agility, jumping, strength, and confidence development for young athletes across the High Desert.
ATG Youth Sports Performance helps young athletes build physical qualities that carry across sports: acceleration, change of direction, landing, jumping, strength, coordination, and confidence. Athletes do not need to arrive with advanced experience or play one particular sport. The goal is to meet each child at an appropriate starting point and develop the movement foundation that supports future training.
Coach Alex Hernandez brings 15 years of coaching experience to the program. Sessions are coach-led and structured rather than free play. Athletes learn how to perform each drill, receive feedback, and progress when they demonstrate the control and readiness for the next step.
Training is organized for ages 5–18 and adjusted for age and ability. A younger child’s session should not look like a scaled-down adult workout, and a high-school athlete may need a different level of speed, power, and strength work. Progressions keep the core purpose consistent while making the training appropriate for the group.

Families can enroll and pay directly through the ATG Fitness booking system. Homeschool families may also be able to use instructional funds when their charter approves ATG Fitness as a vendor. Charter rules vary, so final eligibility, payment, and PE-credit decisions remain with the school.
ATG can provide attendance records, session logs, and vendor documentation on request. For the full process and common charter questions, visit the Homeschool PE information page.
